The King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH) has won the Computer News Middle East Magazine -(CNME)- Award, yearly awardable to firms which use advanced IT technology in health applications, on the sidelines of the 32nd GITEX Week 2012 in Dubai under the slogan (IT is the key to successful business). The award was received by KHUH's commander, Major-General Dr. Shaikh Salman bin Attiyatullah Al Khalifa. The hospital was selected by the arbitration panel from amongst 40 major hospitals nominated in the region. The arbitration panel included end-users, advisors and analysts. The award has been granted to the KHUH in recognition of its contributions in RTLS applications usage in the medical profession, upgrading of job quality and augmentation of productivity. Dr. Shaikh Salman bin Attiyatullah Al Khalifa expressed his utmost delight for KHUH's winning of the award and he envisioned that further constructive strides would be taken to fully benefit from latest available information technology. The prize was awarded by the leading Dubai-based IT newsmagazine (CNME), a member of CPI Publishers Group, to the best firms and organizations in the region which optimally utilize IT.
