Khalifa University students are being given the chance to put their engineering education into practice at three of the world\'s leading companies during their summer internships in France. Hamad Al Menhali, Hanan Al-Hosani and Tahani Saeed Alrashedi are currently interning with Dassault Aviation, MBDA and Thales. In a statement issued by the university, the students gave their opinions of the internship project. Hamad, who is interning at Dassault, one of the world\'s largest manufacturers of military and business jets, says, \"It\'s wonderful being given the opportunity to work in my primary field, which is composite manufacturing. My work for Dassault allows me to create and test composites with an ultra-sonic device, it\'s an exciting job.\" Hanan is interning at MBDA, a major manufacturer and developer of missile systems. She says, \"This has been a wonderful experience that\'s allowed me to apply the education I\'ve received at Khalifa University to real tasks. My skills have greatly improved and it\'s wonderful to see some of the techniques I\'ve learned in action.\" \"I\'ve learned so much from the engineers here at Thales,\" says Tahani, who is currently interning for the industry giant and getting first-hand experience in the design and production of world class technologies for aerospace, space, ground transportation, security and defense sectors. \"I\'ve even been given the opportunity to write some computer code, which will hopefully enable the company to count costs more effectively. I couldn\'t be happier with their support of my initiative.\" \"We\'re very pleased to see our students doing so well on the international stage,\" says Dr. Bayan Sharif, Khalifa University\'s Dean of Engineering. \"Khalifa University is dedicated to providing our students with a top quality education, and informative, exciting and challenging internships are a huge part of that education. By gaining experience in an industry environment, our students are learning skills that they can bring back and apply to their future careers here in the UAE. This will definitely contribute to the creation of the knowledge economy, not to mention cement their futures as industry leaders. Khalifa University is very proud to be actively participating in the successful achievement of the Abu Dhabi 2030 Vision.\"
