The Interior Ministry denied news reports claiming that the main gate of Cairo University was closed on suspicion of a bomb.
In a press release, the ministry said explosives experts and civil defense forces are implementing required procedures that aim to protect the University's gates and its surrounding from any planned explosives.
Earlier, a number of websites claimed that the University's main gate was closed on suspicion of a bomb.
