The ceremony of granting honorary doctorate to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz by the Cairo University will kick off at 11:00 am on Monday morning.
The invited ministers as well as Prime Minister Sherif Ismail are planned to arrive at the university at 11:00 am, while King Salman is expected to arrive at 11:30 am.
Cairo University President Gaber Nassar will deliver a speech before granting honorary doctorate to the King who is expected to deliver a speech as well.
A raft of Egyptian, Arab and foreign officials and public figures will attend the ceremony.
On Thursday, the Cairo University Council unanimously decided to grant honorary doctorate to the Saudi King given his profound and remarkable influence at the Arab and international levels.
The decision also came in appreciation of the monarch's crucial role in serving Islam and Muslims and his support to Egypt and its people.
The Saudi king also has a prominent role in supporting Cairo University by launching a project to develop the university's hospitals.
