Alexandria University decided not to grant the arrest powers to campus guards, after discussing the matter with the students\' leaderships, said the university\'s president Osama Ibrahim. This was just an idea discussed by the Supreme Council of Universities and the Higher Education Ministry in a order to secure the students, he went on to say, adding that this proposal was rejected by the students.
