Unidentified men driving a vehicle threw a locally-made bomb at security forces assigned with securing Helwan University in Cairo, leaving four police officers and a non-commissioned officer injured, a source at the Interior Ministry said.
The policemen sustained moderate injuries and were all moved to hospital, the source said.
Security bodies are exerting efforts to identify and catch the attackers, the source added.
