Three lecturers at Zagazig University, Sharqiya, are being investigated over allegedly inciting students to commit violence on campus and circulating fireworks and leaflets, said university president Ashraf el-Shehi. Urgent measures are adopted to restore order on campus, secure the educational process and prevent clashes during demonstrations, Shehi said. Faculty deans were assigned to take legal measures against the students involved in riots and violence on campus and if proven guilty, will be referred to disciplinary boards, he said.
