Two female students have been expelled from the girls' dormitory of Al Azhar University in Cairo for violating the university's regulations by carrying anti-state slogans.
The two students were referred to a university disciplinary board for a further probe.
Under the university's regulations, students are prohibited from participating or intervening in any political activity at the university.
