The Turkish police detained 17 students after clashes erupted between pro-Daesh and leftist students at İstanbul University on Friday, according to Today's Zaman newspaper.
Media reports stated that some of the detained students were slightly injured.
The detained students were taken to the police station for questioning. Riot police have taken strict security measures around İstanbul University's Faculty of Science, where the fight took place.
