The United Arab Emirates is hosting a preparation course for search and rescue team arbitrators. The course is organised by the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG), in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters. The course is being held at the Fairmont Bab-Al Bahr hotel in Abu Dhabi from 4th to 7th March, with the participation of experts and parties from 20 countries that are concerned with the supervision of search and rescue teams. The course included a day-long practical training course on search and rescue efforts, as well as lectures and standard comparisons addressing classification guidelines and international accreditation standards, the means to manage classification mentors efficiently, fields of development and lessons learned. Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Abdul Jalil Al Ansari, Head of the U.A.E. Search and Rescue Team, said, "Having chosen the U.A.E. to organise this important course emphasises its efficient role in supporting the United Nations and its international organisations, in order to enhance the service of humanitarian actions and prepare highly-qualified search and rescue team arbitrators".
