North Sinai Governor Abdel Fattah Harhour on Wednesday decided to suspend study in schools in the province districts of Rafah and Sheikh Zewied.
The suspension was due to the current security conditions, Harhour said in a statement.
He added that the suspension comes into force as of Thursday until a time to be identified later.
