Qatar's Ambassador to US HE Mohammed Jaham Al Kuwari has participated in the "Lectures of ambassadors", programme which was organized by the Coppin State University in the city of Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
HE Ambassador Al Kuwari gave a comprehensive overview of Qatar's trends regarding its national vision, international participation, Qatar-US relations, the Qatari foreign policy, and Qatar's efforts to promote human rights around the world, as well as achievements of the State of Qatar in the field of education, cultural activities and sports.
HE Al Kuwari noted Qatar's quest to create a space to express its views, and to ensure that all peoples express their views, through debate and dialogue, adding that Qatar aims to redefine foreign policy.
Ambassador Al-Kuwari said that Qatar is the State with a mission is seeking to maximize the use of its natural resources available to them to achieve development not only for Qatari people , but for the entire Arab region, stressing the independence of the Qatar's foreign policy.
He stressed that Qatar is not biased to any particular trends or ideologies, but choosing only to the principles followed since the state was founded, which are based on the achievement of sustainable development and stability of the countries in a way that ensures the regional and international stability and prosperity.
On the Qatar - US relations HE Ambassador Kuwari highlighted the common national interests between the two countries, which he said was due to the long history of strategic economic, political, cultural links which were confirmed by security agreements, economic partnerships, and educational exchange programs at the university level.
He explained that through these joint relations, Qatar is seeking to take advantage of modern models of sustainable development, the promotion of human rights, freedom of expression, and support for democratic institutions, not only in Qatar but in the entire Middle East.
