Education Minister Dr Majid bin Ali al-Nuaimi

Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi said that the Ministry of Education is building many new academic buildings across the kingdom in order to meet the increasing demand for schools, provide educational services in all the governorates and ensure education for students in areas adjacent to their residence.
In this regard, he announced that work had begun in Busaiteen Intermediate Girls’ School in Muharraq, covering 15,742 square metres and costing BD4,477,095.
He said that the Works Ministry had supervised the design of the project, which would meet the modern requirements and standards.
The four-storey school, expected to accommodate a total of 1,000 students, will include 30 classrooms, multi-purpose labs, a sports hall and high-tech services.
Works Ministry’s Undersecretary for Construction and Maintenance Project Muna Jassim Al-Mutawa said that 8% of the project had already been completed, pledging that it will be ready according to the pre-set schedule.
She pointed out that the school would meet all the learning, security and health requirements, adding that parking lots for 50 cars, a bus stop and a waiting area for students will also be included in the project.
