The 31st convention of the National Union of Kuwait Students (NUKS), US Branch, kick-started here late Thursday under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
Delivering a speech at the event, Kuwait's Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Bader Al-Issa, who was present on behalf of His Highness the Premier, said that Kuwaiti students were the future of their country, noting that the current global situation and world developments, especially in the Middle East, required from the students to be more sturdy in their academic quest which in turn would help their country to further progress.
The state will continue to support its students abroad to achieve the goals for development set by Kuwait's leadership and people, said the minister.
Meanwhile, Kuwait's Ambassador to the US Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, NUKS Chairman Ahmad Qabazard, in addition to other figures also delivered similar speeches encouraging the students to further develop themselves for the sake of Kuwait's future.
