Bahrain has been able to mark anew its powerful presence in the international arena when Bahraini student Meriam Khalid Mahmoud was able to stand out at Bangor University in Wales by achieving the highest average in her batch of 320 students in the business college.
The 21-year-old student said in a telephone call with Bahrain News Agency (BNA) that her accomplishment reflects the high level of Bahraini students studying at foreign universities.
She expressed happiness about her excellence in obtaining the Bachelor Degree in accountancy and financial studies, dedicating her achievement to her parents and family as well as Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF).
She also thanked Bangor University for equipping the students with the needed academic knowledge, pointing out that she will return to Bahrain after her graduation to enroll in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)- Bahrain to hone her skills and become an ambitious auditor.
She paid tribute to BIBF for its contribution to her success by enabling her to study in the institute for three years and pursuing her fourth year in the United Kingdom.
