Minister for Technical Education and Vocational Training,Abdul-Hafez Nomu'an, met here on Sunday with Projects Officer at the ChineseMinistry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, who is currently visiting Yemen.The two sides dealt with the bilateral cooperation areas between the two countriesin the field of technical education and vocational training and ways of boostingthem.The meeting touched on the status of the Yemeni-Chinese Institute for AppliedSciences (Hadda Institute in the past) and its urgent need for rehabilitation andrestoration.Nomu'an and the Chinese official reviewed the underway steps and arrangementsfor establishing a new technical institute industrial in accordance with theinternational standards in the area of Bani-Harith in the capital Sana'a, with fundingof the Chinese government.They also discussed the requirements and needs that can be offered by the Chineseside to Yemen in the technical aspects, equipment ,curricula and staff in thetechnical education field.
