Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development on Thursday received a group of students from the University of San Francisco (USF)'s School of Management at his palace in Abu Dhabi.
At the meeting, Sheikh Nahyan had friendly exchanges with the USF group of students which is led on a current visit to UAE by professor Mouwafac Sidaoui, Department Chair and Assistant Professor of Business Analytics and Information Systems.
Sheikh Nahyan affirmed that UAE works for spreading global peace and security and backs all efforts to face different challenges facing humanity, citing climate change, poverty and illiteracy as special threats.
"The wise leadership prioritises cooperation with all countries of the world for building a better world," Sheikh Nahyan said describing today's world as 'just a neighbourhood' thanks to the instantaneous movement of information.
UAE enjoys a prosperous economy and remarkable growth in different spheres, emphasised Sheikh Nahyan noting that UAE has become home to nationals of more than 200 countries and a hub for global trade, investments, tourism, education and mega international exhibitions including World Expo 2020 which will be hosted by UAE in Dubai.
UAE also focuses on cultural aspects and takes part in conferences on inter-faith and inter-cultural dialogues to promote its heritage and rapprochement and understanding between peoples of the world, Sheikh Nahyan further said.
Sheikh Nahyan attributed U.A.E's success story and international prominent stature to the openness policy established by the nation's founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and being followed today by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
