The top-rated comedy The Big Bang Theory has received a 3-year broadcast renewal by CBS, according to media reports. The show premiered in September 2007 and has been television’s No. 1 comedy in viewers since 2010-2011. “Comedy is a big part of our schedule, and The Big Bang Theory is the biggest comedy force on television,” said CBS entertainment chairman Nina Tassler. He added that the renewal will further strengthen the network’s position for future seasons and mark another chapter in the great partnership CBS enjoys with Warner Bros.
