Nicolle Wallace will reportedly leave ABC talk show The View for good.
The 43-year-old conservative political commentator is said to have turned down an offer to remain as an occasional contributor to the series, which would have been a demotion from her current role as co-host.
"Our friend Nicole Wallace is going to leave the show at the conclusion of the season," executive Bill Wolff wrote in a staff memo acquired by news outlets. "Having worked with her for most of the last year, you know the warmth, smarts and professionalism she has brought to the job every day."
"She will always be a friend of our show, and I know you join me in wishing her only the best," he concluded. Wallace is expected to make her final appearance prior to the program's summer hiatus, which begins next week.
The political commentator will turn her attention to covering Donald Trump's presidential bid as a contributor at MSNBC. Wallace joined The View in season 18, and rumors of her departure began in July. Fellow newcomer Rosie Perez will also leave the show.
Longtime The View co-host Sherri Shepherd will reportedly return to the program as a lead contributor. Whoopi Goldberg, Raven-Symone and Michelle Collins will remain on the panel, with Candace Cameron Bure and Paula Faris rumored to join as co-hosts.
