Indian TV channel Times Now will broadcast an exit polling results of the general election Monday, after the closing of the last phase of the Lok Sabha election. The TV has surveyed over 540,000 voters in the nine-phase election which began on April 7 and would end Monday. Meanwhile, Indian stocks benchmark BSE Sensex surged nearly 459 points at mid-day Monday to hit new record high of 23,453.29 ahead of the exit poll results. The rupee Monday also rallied to one month high of 59.51 against the U.S. dollar on dollar selling by banks and exporters as well as strong foreign capital inflows into the stock market. The business circles of the country and international investors are upbeat about the perspective of the general election in which the Bharatiya Janata Party is widely expected to win.
