US media outlets on Sunday gave prominence to an interview by Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the Associated Press that dealt with several vital issues related to Egypt and the Middle East.
The Washington Post and Fox News highlighted the president's statements on the need for cooperation of the Middle East countries to counter terrorism as Egypt launched a fierce war against it, at a time when some other countries sliding toward "a cycle of failure."
Also, the US News & World Report highlighted Sisi's speech on the need not to divide Syria, and that Syria's collapse would mean the fall of its weapons and equipment in the hands of extremists and terrorists.
ABC news website quoted Sisi as saying that the solution to the Palestinian cause could change the the whole region, expressing optimism about a "great opportunity" to resolve the issue.
Also, The Daily Times pointed out to the president's vision on the Egypt's role in the Middle East, efforts made by the country to establish the new Suez Canal project, and Egyptian-American relations, which he described as "strategy and stable.
