Riyadh - MENA
Saudi papers on Tuesday tackled Egypt's affairs and the dispute between Qatar and the UAE after preacher Youssef el-Qaradawi criticized the latter in a Friday sermon. The Saudi Okaz newspaper said Egypt's security is necessary for the whole Arab region. It also hailed Egyptian Prime Minister Hazem el-Beblawi's visit to the Saudi Kingdom leading a high-level delegation. The Saudi king's support for Egypt during this critical stage has helped the country avoid a disastrous issue that would have affected the whole region, according to the newspaper. Meanwhile, the Riyadh newspaper pointed out to the high tension between Qatar and UAE, saying that such incidents prove that the Arab states lack any political, developmental, or social projects. Youssef el-Qaradawi, the Islamic preacher, had criticized the UAE's policies toward Islamist groups during a Friday sermon.
