Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi(R)

A Russian Russian newspaper on Friday said Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's visit to Moscow is an opportunity to remember the work of Soviet engineers in the construction of the High Dam.

Trud touched upon a growing Russian role in the Middle East.

In an article on Sisi's visit, the paper added that Moscow's fixed and well-established policy toward the Islamic world would allow Middle East countries to get effective Russian assistance without interfering in their internal affairs.

Moscow considers the continuation of sectarian conflicts on the backdrop of the bloody chaos taking place under the banner of Daesh impossible.

The paper said that attempts to outline an international strategy to counter extremism without Russia's participation have proved ineffective.

Sisi discussed in Moscow military cooperation, and met with the heads of Russian "Gazprom" and "Ross Hnevic" energy companies with the to develop the Egyptian energy sector, the paper said.

He also met with the head of the Russian Atomic Energy Agency "Rosatom" that will participate in the construction of the first atomic power generation plant in Egypt, the paper added.
