An anti-Houthi reporter has escaped an attempt on his life in Sanaa, said the Yemeni news agency.

Nabil Sobei, who is known for his criticism of the Houthi group, came under fire from unidentified gunmen in Hael street in the capital, said the report.

Two bullets injured Sobei who has been moved to hospital.
