Selena Gomez discussed her admiration of comedian Amy Schumer, her friends and how high she would rate herself on a scale of 1-10 on a Boston-based radio show Monday morning.
During a phone interview with the hosts of the TJ show, Gomez, 22, said she hopes to find a way to appear on Schumer's regular Comedy Central show Inside Amy Schumer.
"Maybe that's how I'll find a way to work with her and be around her," she said. "I'm a huge fan. I think she's amazing."
When it comes to life as a celebrity, the "Good For You" singer said that it can get "uncomfortable," especially when she's out with her close friends.
"My roommates that I live with are not in the business," she said of her best friends. "One is a realtor and the other works for a nonprofit, and so I think when I'm in social settings, and I'm with my friends...everybody treats them differently."
When it comes to her famous friends, Gomez said earlier this month she believes in spreading the love. Talking to The Edge, she said that although she was in the "Bad Blood" video -- which is a rumored crack at singer Katy Perry -- she thinks Perry is "amazing."
Still, being the subject of fandom rivalries makes the former Wizards of Waverly Place actress uncomfortable. "You know, I never, like, made sure I Instagram it or something where I'm like 'everbody vote!'" she said of her large following.
"I think their passion is incredible, but everybody has fans and I don't want it to start, you know, making other people feel like you can't be a fan of everybody."
The modest artist also responded to a question about her appearance, rating herself "a good nine" on a "premier day," although she felt like "a six or a seven" on a normal day. "That's so awkward to say that," she said. "It is so awkward!"
"How about a 9.75?" a host asked the star.
