President of the Saudi Press Agency Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussein inaugurated today the New Media Department at SPA in the presence of Director General of News Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Awadh and a number of officials at the agency. The inauguration was accompanied by the launch of the official account of SPA in Instagram. SPA President said that the launch of the special section of the new media comes at the forefront of the objectives of SPA to keep pace with the evolution of media tools. He reiterated the determination of SPA to move forward to develop its work in the field of new media. He added that the department will be concerned with interactive dynamic media, which combines text, voice and video in one file. He stated that SPA promotes diversity of electronic services by using modern means to consolidate its position and increase its area of deployment and impact, pointing out that SPA has been participating in social networking sites since an early stage.
