A senior Iranian legislator blasted the al-Arabiya news channel for launching a Persian-language edition by the help of Iranian fugitives and opposition members, and accused the Arab media of attempts to incite seditionist moves during the June presidential election in Iran.\"Those involved in such moves want to prepare Iran\'s atmosphere to foment another sedition on the threshold of the presidential election (June 14),\" Mohammad Baqeri told the Parliament\'s website on Tuesday. He blamed Saudi Arabia for propagating Iranophobia in the region and the world, and said, \"The main goal behind launching Persian-language channels is influencing Iran\'s public opinion.\"In relevant remarks in November, another senior Iranian legislator slammed certain Arab leaders for portraying a negative picture of Iran.\"They propagate Iranophobia because they are fearful of being overthrown,\" Rapporteur of the parliament\'s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Seyed Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said in Tehran at the time. The same remarks were earlier made by Hezbollah Secretary-General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah who slammed some Arab states for behaving Israel as a friend, while propagating Iranophobia.\"There are some people in the Arab and the Islamic world who are working politically in the media and in every angel in order to portray Israel as a friend and to show Iran as an enemy,\" Nasrallah said in Beirut in November.
