Actor Omar Sharif's funeral will be held on Sunday afternoon at Hussein Tantawi Mosque, New Cairo, said Board Member of Egyptian Actors' Union Sameh el Sirity.

He told MENA that Sharif will be buried in Sayeda Nafisa cemetery.

Sharif died on Friday, aged 83.
