Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi on Friday reiterated the important role played by the media in achieving the renaissance of Egypt. The developmental role of the media is not less important than its political role, Morsi said in statements to MENA editor-in-chief and a number of other chief editors on the sidelined of his visit to Brazil, which he wrapped up on Friday. The media plays an important role in achieving Egypt's goals including the achievement of high growth rates and a true comprehensive development, Morsi added. The Egyptian president also reaffirmed the role of the police in developing the concept and tools of the security system.
