Sessions of the IV News Agencies World Congress (IV-NAWC) concluded on Wednesday with the participation of directors and boards chairmen of world news agencies and senior officials in the IT and communication fields. Over the three-day sessions, the participants presented three working papers, addressing "views of Arabic newscasters about news agencies", "capitalizing on new opportunities", and "'how can news agencies support newspapers' future needs". In the same context, the participants stressed in today's session the important news the agencies should follow and uphold their credibility via impartiality when transmitting news and information, adding that they should also gather and produce objective and unbiased news content in a professional manner, utilizing the latest communication methods to transmit this content around the world. Also, they discussed ways in which members can enhance the news agencies capacity to work as major international news producers, methods that should be followed in order to buttress dissemination of unbiased news content, and the importance to always support the principles of press freedom. In addition, the news agencies directors highlighted how members should continue to support important developments in the media field, protect news agencies work from piracy, stress the necessity of recognizing diversity among organizations, and ensure the continued protection of journalists working in dangerous regions. The IV-NAWC Sessions kicked off on Monday in Riyadh with the participation of KUNA Board Chairman and Director-General Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah. The event saw the participation of more than 70 news agencies and senior officials of institutions of information technology and communication from around the world
