Expert urges setting up Egyptian-Chinese mechanism for tourism media

A conference addressing Arab-Chinese media dialogue called on Monday for setting up an Egyptian-Chinese mechanism for tourism media to promote media cooperation between the two countries.

The mechanism should include media figures in both countries and should be based in Cairo and Beijing, Antiquities expert Abdel Rehim Rehan said at the conference organized by the Chinese Company for Exports and Imports and Xinhua news agency.

Editors-in-chief of Egyptian newspapers and the Middle East News Agency were present at the conference that was held at Fairmont Nile City Hotel.

He also suggested launching an Egyptian-Chinese satellite channel in Arabic, Chinese and English languages to shed light on tourist destinations and economic features in both countries.

He also underlined the importance of highlighting folk culture and plastic arts of both countries in the media.
