The Finance Ministry has approved the allocation of 16.239 million pounds as technology allowance for journalists in September.

The allowance goes to journalists working at national, partisan and independent Egyptian newspapers.

The Supreme Press Council is expected to pay the allowances to eligible journalists before the Eidul-Adha.

As many as 4,355 journalists and 19,536 workers at the national press institutions, and 3,450 journalists in partisan and independent institutions
