Cairo - KUNA
Egyptian ambassador here Abdulkarim Suleiman dismissed on Friday remarks allegedly attributed to Egyptian interim president Adly Mansour regarding Kuwait\'s support of the interim government in Egypt as reported by an Egyptian satellite TV station. In a statement to KUNA, the ambassador valued the speed by the Kuwaiti government in offering support and succor to the Egyptian people and interim government as the latter maneuvered its way through a new stage of governing that country. Terming the statement by the station on this matter as \"completely false,\" the ambassador noted that the Egyptian government and people were highly cognizant of the enormous support -- both morally and materially -- they were getting from the government of Kuwait under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. \"Kuwait was not tardy in extending help and support to the Egyptian people and was fully aware and in complete recognition of the aspirations of Egyptians for a brighter future as they traverse newer grounds at the current juncture,\" said the ambassador. Adding that \"President Adly Mansour plans to visit Kuwait in the near future to extend Egypt\'s thanks and gratitude to Kuwaiti authorities for their firm support of Egypt at it forges its way to a permanent stage of stability and total security.\" The visit will be conducted within the framework of strengthening the historic ties binding the two nations, said the ambassador.
