A conference on media future held in Cairo on Saturday recommended providing support for the role of Middle East News Agency (MENA) in developing the press profession in the country and the Arab world. The participants in the gathering called on Egyptian authorities to pay more attention to MENA to keep its pioneering position in the whole region. The five-session conference, which concluded on Saturday in a Cairo hotel, discussed the conditions of the print, audio and audio-visual media. It also tackled the future of the electronic journalism and its effect on newspapers.
