Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi

Chinese media outlets on Wednesday shed light on the current visit by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to China to attend Beijing's celebrations of the 70th anniversary of victory in World War II.

Xinhua News Agency published an interview with Egypt's Ambassador to China Magdy Amer, in which he praised ties between Cairo and Beijing.

He further talked about Sisi's first visit to China several months ago, during which he signed 20 deals to establish Chinese projects in Egypt and develop the Suez Canal waterway.

Global Times, an English-language Chinese newspaper, published another interview with Amer on Sisi's visit to China.

In the interview, Amer said Sisi's participation in the Chinese festivals aims at commemorating the anniversary of China's victory and recalling atrocities committed in World War II.

He noted that Egypt seeks to develop new regulations to help Chinese investors pump more investments in the Egyptian market in the coming period.
