China's official Xinhua news agency and the People's Daily online highlighted the hijacking of an Egyptian passenger plane en route from Borg el Arab to Cairo that was forced to land in Cyprus.

The news agency and the online paper are updating news related to the incident especially statements by the Egyptian Civil Aviation Ministry and the official Cypriot sources.
