An official security source said that “Akhbar Al Youm” journalist Saber el Batawy was arrested upon a prosecution warrant for interrogation.

Batawy was arrested at his home in Qalubiya after the higher state security prosecution ordered his arrest to question him over charges of joining a banned group, the source told MENA.

Batawy is in Tora prison pending investigations, the source said.
