The new 2013 BMW M5 is about to have its official North American debut at Detroit.Although it was revealed a few months ago at Frankfurt, the 2013 BMW M5 is about to have its official North American debut at the Detroit Auto Show in just a couple of weeks. Talking with M brand manager for North America Matt Russell, we\'re given another explanation as to why the all-new M5 is the ideal driving machine for the speed enthusiast who also needs a four-door sedan.Powered by a twin-scroll twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 with 560hp, the new F10 M5 is a departure from the previous model because it lacks a V10.This is part of the German automaker\'s new downsizing strategy: smaller, turbocharged engines that still provide the required output as before (if not greater). It can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 190 mph. It\'s mated to a seven-speed DCT transmission or a six-speed manual. U.S. pricing is set to start at $93,000.
