In this short documentary, Porsche shows the extreme conditions their engineers went through while doing the final testing of the latest 911. As the debut of the all-new Porsche 911 drew close, Porsche sent two elite teams of their engineers to perform the final bits of testing of what is the automaker\'s most important and recognizable model. The engineers were sent to South Africa and the Arctic Circle to perform the car\'s final testing in some of the most extreme weather conditions on the planet. Everything from a latch on the trunk to the new seven-speed manual transmission was tested in varying climate conditions in order to guarantee quality. The stakes were high, expectations beyond words, and time was limited. So why go to such great lengths for a sports car and not, say, an SUV? Because it\'s Porsche and this is what they do.The 911 is simply an ongoing evolution over the previous generation; it gradually changes into a different and more complex machine over time. And yet its shape is still instantly recognizable. Although the video is a little long, it\'s worth checking out just to get a sense of the dedication of everyone involved with the car\'s engineering and development, not to mention the appreciation of the ongoing evolution of the 911.
