Enhancement can often have the adverse effect

It's difficult to improve on something so conventionally attractive. Enhancement can often have the adverse effect. Who can forget Dirty Dancing's Jennifer Grey's nose job, which left her unrecognisable, or the haunted tupperware now masquerading as Burt Reynold's face? When it comes to the Bentley Flying Spur, there isn't much room for improvement. The V8 version we previously tested is luxurious, nimble and spacious - a real status symbol. To go one better, those good people in Crewe did the only thing they could think of to grab our attention: they put a bigger engine in it as standard and gave us the keys. Welcome to the Flying Spur W12.

W12 or V8? What a decision!
While the Flying Spur V8 is perhaps a little more agile because of the smaller engine, we are Team W12 all the way. This is the fastest luxury saloon in the world and nothing could stop us from repeating that fact. Sorry everyone with whom we had dinner. A top speed of 320km/h and a 0-100km/h time of 4.6 secs will do that to you!

It's nicer than your house
Obviously this depends where you live, but we're willing to bet the decor could rival even the most plush hotel rooms in Dubai. We've been to the factory and met the tanners and sewers who put every individual Bentley interior together, so we know the people-hours behind the fine leather seats and trim. It's worth it. You won't want to leave.

Satisfying the tech heads
If the speed and colossal engine don't grab you by the proverbials, this lightening-quick stately home on wheels is deceptively high-tech. The usual high-quality onboard tools come thrown in as well as a WiFi hotspot system, presumably to keep you entertained in the JBR traffic. Bafflingly, however, there's a car phone...well, it all counts.

Turning on (more than) a dime
Summing up then, is this car worth its just under Dhs925K asking price? Let's look at the facts: it's the fastest one around (bar the W12 S), it's huge, it's lovely, it drives like it's on rails, the acceleration is a sight to behold for such a big car and it possesses that all important Dubai value - prestige. If you can afford it, then it's a big yes!
