A rise in temperatures is expected on Sunday becoming 6-7 degrees above their annual average, creating relatively hot conditions in the hilly areas and hot in other parts of the Kingdom with north westerly moderate winds.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), temperatures will slightly drop on Monday, but similar conditions will continue to prevail across the country with north westerly moderate to brisk winds blowing dust at times.
A further drop in temperatures is expected on Tuesday, so it will be warm in the hilly areas and the eastern plains and relatively hot in the Badia regions, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley. Winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk, the JMD said.
Temperatures in Amman for today will range between a high of 35 degrees Celsius and a low of 20 degrees at nigh, while mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will jump to 40 degrees dropping to 25 degrees at night, the JMD added.
