NCMS

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology, NCMS, has urged motorists to be cautious on roads due to low horizontal visibility caused by fog in various coastal and inland areas of the country.

The centre said that the weather today will be partly cloudy in general, and hazy at times. Fresh winds in general, strong at times especially over the sea, and causing blowing dust and sand over exposed areas reducing the horizontal visibility at times. The relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over some internal areas. Sea is rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf and rough to moderate by afternoon in the Sea of Oman.

The statement added that tomorrow the partly cloudy weather will continue in general, and hazy at times. Fresh to moderate winds at first, with rough to moderate sea in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Sea of Oman. Wind speed will become moderate to light by afternoon accompanied by a rise in temperatures. The relative humidity will increase by night and early morning over some internal areas and fog/mist may form.

For Wednesday, the weather will be partly cloudy to hazy and dusty. Moderate to light winds in general, and a further rise in temperatures will occur. Seas will be moderate to slight in general. The relative humidity will increase by night and early morning over some internal areas and fog or mist may form.
