A severe cold wave gripped major parts of Pakistan including Islamabad, breaking all previous records. According to the country’s Metrological Department, the fog-infested below-zero weather has virtually affected routine life in many parts of the country. Flight schedules have been disrupted and main highways shutdown during the night time due to bad weather. There is also a shortage of natural gas. Low temperatures hit in Peshawar, Quetta, Skardu and Parachinar.
