Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds hit a number of Egyptian governorates on Monday, disrupting traffic.

Rains led to water accumulation on various roads and underneath bridges and vacuum trucks were recalled to suck water to ensure smooth traffic.

In some governorates like Beheira, heavy rains caused power outage.
