The 2012 World Energy Forum to kick off in Dubai tomorrow, Monday, for two weeks leading efforts to develop a \"roadmap\" towards sustainable solutions; the event will see the participation of more than 20 world leaders, 40 ministers and 2,500 delegations from various countries. The forum, organized for the first time outside of the United Nations\' headquarters in New York, will be opened by Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum. Kuwait\'s delegation to the event will be headed by Minister of Finance and Acting Minister of Education and Higher Education, Nayef Al-Hajraf. Under the theme of \"A Forum for World Leaders\", the event will take place from 22-24 October 2012 at the Dubai International Convention Center. This high-level international energy conference will seek to chart a roadmap for a sustainable energy system that can benefit all nations, and promote a New World Energy Order that can fuel global economic and social development throughout the United Nations Member States and facilitate a Global Movement for a more affordable, cleaner, safer, and sustainable energy for all. To commemorate the high-level international event, the Supreme Council of Energy and Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates will issue gold and silver sukuk, Islamic financial bond.
