OAPEC Secretary General Abbas al-Naqi

Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) General Secretariat will organize a scientific conference to discuss rationalization of energy consumption in the oil refining industry options, to be held between February 3-5 in Bahrain, OAPEC Secretary General Abbas Al-Naqi announced on Monday.
Al-Naqi told KUNA on Monday that the conference will be held in cooperation with Japan Cooperation Center, Petroleum (JCCP) under the auspices of Bahraini Minister of Energy Dr. Abdulhussain Bin Ali Mirza.
A number of experts and specialists in oil refining industry in OAPEC member countries will take part in this event, besides others from Bahraini National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA), Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO), besides other Arab oil companies.
The conference will shed light on a number of issues, including energy consumption rationalization and improving its usage efficiency in oil refineries, the increasing energy consumption rates in oil refineries, as well as challenges hampering energy consumption rationalization in Arab states' oil refineries.
The minister expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Energy in Bahrain for hosting this conference, hailing at the same time efforts exerted by NOGA for the success of this symposium.
