Under the patronage of the Minister of State for Electricity and Water Affairs Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, the Gulf Electricity Conference and Exhibition 2014 will open here on Monday.
Organised by the GCC Regional Committee for Large Electric Systems until November 12, the event is expected to attract more than 350 energy experts.
It will provide a platform for participants to learn more about the latest developments in the electricity and energy industry, and ensure exhibitors' access to the most profitable deals.
The conference will highlight the challenges facing the power sector in the region, and enable experts and those concerned with the power sector to develop business relations and exchange experiences.
Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the latest trends and strategies to meet the region's rapidly expanding energy needs through a series of panel and technical sessions.
More than 45 companies will have the opportunity to exhibit the latest electronic devices at the 19th Electronic Devices Exhibition, to be held on the sidelines of the Conference.
It will provide the visitors with the latest international technologies, equipment and products of leading regional and international manufacturers.
