The Ministry of Environment and Water has issued a decision, on the prohibited and restricted pesticides in the country. Under the ministerial resolution of 2013 issued by Dr. Rashid Ahmad bin Fahad, Minister of Environment and Water, all companies, institutions and individuals are prevented from importing or trading or using 9 public health pesticides, which are banned by the international conventions because they contain toxic substances that pose danger on public health. The resolution included a list of banned pesticides, besides the restricted public health pesticides, as well as banned veterinary and agricultural pesticides.
