President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued a decree on Sunday amending some provisions of the Environment law promulgated by Law No. 4 of 1994.

The amendments included replacing (communities) by (residential areas) wherever they appear in the Environment law.

The amendments also stated that the environment protection fund established under the law will finance environmental activities, studies and projects to support the country's efforts in the field of protecting the environment and natural resources along with achieving sustainable development.
