Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab held a meeting Thursday to discuss the necessary measures to stop drainage into the Bitter Lakes.

During the meeting, Mahlab underlined the need of implementing a number of projects, which contribute to stopping drainage into the Bitter Lakes.

An approval has been made on a number of proposals which were put forward by Irrigation Minister Hossam Moghazi with the aim of preserving salinity level, said Cabinet Spokesman Hossam Qawish.
